Grizzly Bear/Black Bear

Come join us on the adventure of a life time as we pursue these awesome bears in the Canadian Rockies. This area is second to none when it comes to Interior Mountain Grizzly. Our bears average over 7 ft with many of them squaring 8 ft or more. These Interior Mountain Grizzlies are known for their beautiful coats, long ivory claws and the occasional bad attitude. These hunts takes place during the month of May and the first 10 days of June. Hunting is done by watching the avalanche chutes where the first

vegetation of the year is growing. Bears are breeding at this time of the year and like most animals this is when "the big ones get dumb". We will often spend time outsmarting a particular bear on these hunts, this makes it all that much more rewarding when a bear is harvested. We only kill boars, ensuring good future populations. Hunting is done by truck, ATV and foot. Generally this hunt is not extremely physical, however, there are circumstances where a lot of hiking is necessary.

Spot and Stalk Black Bear hunting is an exciting experience for both veteran and new hunters. One can expect to see many bears every day (usually between 5-15) along with many other kinds of wildlife including Grizzly Bear, Mountain Goat, Moose and Deer. This country offers breathtaking views and scenery that is simply spectacular. Bears typically range between 6-7 feet, with about 20% being colour phase.
